QUARANTINE RETREAT FOR SELF PRESERVATION


The power of Yoga therapies and Ayuveda can help support you during this time to ease anxiety, depression, exhaustion and the myriad of emotions you may or may not be experiencing right now. When I offer retreats, workshops and private sessions we have time to rest, digest, and heal. These tools are not esoteric and they do not discriminate, but are here for you now. This mini-quarantine retreat will offer you space to gather inward, add tools from the science of Ayurveda to your quarantine routine, and practice.


*I chose Friday because this is often when we go out and socialize, and still remains a night many find themselves in front of one or two screens at any given time. There is a lot of power in choosing what is best for your body, mind, and spirit. That power is like medicine and that choice lives in the cells of your being. I say that because when we do get past this pandemic we will be faced with a lot of new and difficult choices individually, collectively and as a nation. Maintaining steadiness right now is crucial to the longterm well being and nurturing of your innate resilience. It also gives you space to say, "today I am not doing well, and I don't need to feel shame in that experience, but now I can work with this emotion to come out on the otherside." When I say resilience I don't mean bouncing back from trauma. I mean the part of yourself that bears witness to what we can't control and sees what is steadfast within you- to move skillyfully and lovingly at your pace. This retreat will provide what you need to maintain that.

Many of the unjust inner workings of our country will collaspe, some will stay intact. Many of us bear witness to injustice in our work and in our lives all the time.
Take this time to build immunity, rest, digest and heal.

1. We will begin with a consent based faciliated check-in:
Addressing how you are sleeping, doing overall
(u can choose to opt out and listen)

2. Dharma Talk: What can Yoga & Ayurveda teach us about supporting and aiding mental and physical digestion in Quarantine? How can I establish a routine guided by inner work and wellbeing in Quarantine?

3. Full practice guided by doshas, vayus, time of day, etc
This practice will be guided and faciliated by me and will feature on screen demos
You can choose to keep your screen on or off.

4. Writing Prompt for the weekend
Taking this work off the mat and into your home and daily routine

5. Digital Sunset. An opportunity to retreat from screens for much or most of the weekend- as much as possible.
